  • Conducting of Selection and Grade studies in Seed Growing, production of Seedlings and Seeds,
  • Breeding and introduction the perspective high-yield Turkmen grade of cotton and other agriculture groups, well adapted to the soil and climate conditions of Turkmenistan."

About the Economic Society "Durnukly Osush"

Background

During the past decade a number of socially important projects with the involvement of international organizations have been implemented in Sakarchaga etrap of Mary velayat. One of such projects is the Ministry of Nature/UNDP/GEF/GIZ joint project “Local community capacity building and investment for sustainable land resource management”. Within the framework of this project extensive experience in sustainable management of land resources at local level was accumulated. One of the main outcomes of the project was the establishment of consulting economic society «Durnukly Osush», with its main objective being provision of consultation services on sustainable management of irrigated lands at local level. The establishment of such service in Sakarchaga etrap, an important agrarian territorial complex, is the project's ponder able contribution to sustainable development of the region. The project provided all necessary conditions to ensure effective operation of economic society «Durnukly Osush» (meaning “Sustainable development”): including acquisition of office equipment, express-laboratory for conducting analytical studies, establishment of training classroom equipped with all appropriate equipment.

Mission

The mission of the organization is strengthening activities on the use and dissemination of knowledge and experience in the sphere of agriculture, capacity building on local level by means of involving local population in implementation of modern technologies in irrigated agriculture.
